Having grown up in Kiev Ukraine, Aleksandra Sergeevna Zelenina moved to the United Stated with her parents at the age of 10. Since a young age she had an interest in drawing that was cultivated by her aunt and mother. She attended Carver Center High school in Towson Maryland (an art magnet) where she studied fine art with Joe Giordano, Terry McDaniel and Charles Schwarz. Among her favorite professors were Day Gleason and Doug Ashford who have been her heroes unbeknownst to them. Since graduating, Aleksandra has worked as a photography technician at the Cooper Union and has worked on various design projects including building web sites and making art for album covers. She has also made textile designs for home furnishings.
